Technology Resources

The Vacaville Unified School District offers many technology resources for its staff, students and families.

Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reader is a computerized guided reading program designed to build interest in reading. It quizzes students on books they have read, testing their understanding of the book.

All Vacaville schools subscribe to the Enterprise version of Accelerated Reader, giving students access to more than 125,000 quizzes. Use the free AR BookFinder service to find the level of nearly any book.

AR Home Connect

Students and parents can view daily progress in Accelerated Reader through Home Connect and even sign up for email alerts when a child takes an AR test at school. Use the Home Connect link at left to get started. Parents will need the child's user name and password for RenPlace. Contact your child's teacher if the child does not know the login information. For more information see the Home Connect Parent Guide (also available in Spanish.)

Destiny Library

Students can log on to Destiny using their district ID number and birthdate (same format as many other programs) to see items checked out in the library, or put books on hold. At many schools, textbooks are also checked out to individual students through Destiny. Log on and click the MY Info tab to get started.

Student Google Accounts

The Vacaville Unified School District has created student Google accounts for all students in grades 1 through 12. Please refer to this information page for more information. If you would like your student's name hidden from the global directory, please notify your student's principal by email or in writing.
